Indirect Impact Type

The Air knocker (Indirect impact type) is a unique equipment in which the force of compressed air causes the piston to energetically strike the base surface, which eliminates the adhesion or clogging of powder. In addition, this knocker is excellent in safety and economics because it can be used only by air supply, and it can be used safely for powder that has a characteristic to show adhesion when receiving the centrifugal vibration.

Features

The impact force of the air knocker can be easily adjusted via unique valve mechanism (patented) by varying the compressed air supply.

The ability to adjust the impact force will enhances the air knocker capability to work on unforeseen circumstances such as changes of material characteristic due to the process.

Beside working as a standalone unit, the air knocker also has a relay piping feature (patented) which can link multiple air knockers in cascade connection and operate with an air knocker’s controller or a solenoid valve. This feature is extremely useful where several air knockers installed on a same silo/hopper or on the same pipe line and it could significantly reduce the control component costs.

In combination used with fully pneumatic operated controller (AOC-1B), the air knocker can be easily add on to the hopper, piping …etc. without electrical works! The AOC-1B controller can be actuated manually by a 3-way hand valve (In-built) or automatically by an external 3-way solenoid valve or pneumatic valve. The electrical/pneumatic signal to actuate the solenoid/pneumatic valve could be from the down stream equipment such as rotary valve, slide gate valve, butterfly valve…etc.
The repair kit consists of 4 replacement parts only and can be easily replaced within 10 minutes.
With its simple and yet rugged construction, it can operate up to 1 million strokes without failure (according to in-house testing, excluding RKV120P). High reliability means minimum production disturbance which results in higher productivity.

The body of Exen’s RKV air knocker is made of high strength ductile cast iron FCD 800 which could lasts for years.

* RKV120P model is not equipped a fall prevention wire to the body. Please be sure to install them before using.

* Mounting base of RKV120P is including reinforcing ribs. Please weld this ribs to the mounting base when using.

* RKV120P mounting base is sold separately.
